InsectBand is a sticky trap designed to capture cockroaches and other crawling insects indoors. Its simple design makes it quick and effective to use.
InsectBand comes flat packed for easy transportation and storage. Once a trapping site has been located simply assemble the trap by peeling off the protective paper, fold the edges of the trap to create a tunnel and then place it on the floor where insects run. Once the InsectBand is full it can be disposed of and a new trap can be set.
The best locations for InsectBand are under furniture i.e. sofas, kitchen units, or workbenches. If these locations aren’t available or accessible then placing InsectBand along a wall will also work.
Each packet comes with 4 x InsectBand traps to be used in multiple areas or one after the other. Each trap measures 240mm x 64mm.
How does InsectBand attract insects?
InsectBand doesn’t use any attractants, it simply uses the pest’s natural habits to its advantage. Placing the sticky insect trap under furniture where insects will hide is the best option.
How long will each InsectBand trap work for?
The glue used on the Insectband trap is non-drying. This means it will remain sticky until the trap is completely full.
How many InsectBand traps come in each packet?
Each pack contains four InsectBand traps.
How do I know if I have cockroaches?
Cockroaches can be secretive creatures and most people don’t know they have them until they actually see one and then it’s too late. There are a few signs to look out for that will tell you if you have cockroaches.
- A distinctive smell
- Shed skin
- Chewing in softer materials
- Eggs known as ootheca
If you see any of these signs then you should act fast to start to control the population.
How can I prevent cockroaches?
The main reason you will have cockroaches is because of the availability of food and water. Therefore, the easiest way to discourage them is to deny them access. Make sure to remove standing food and clean away spillages. Empty bins on a regular basis and try to avoid leaving full bin bags on the ground. Decluttering will also greatly help to prevent cockroaches; they love to seek shelter in tight dark spaces where they don’t get disturbed.
How to get rid of Cockroaches?
Removing cockroaches can be a tricky task as they can get almost anywhere. They can live without food for up to a month and without water for a week. Removing both food and water sources is a great start. This will have two benefits. The cockroaches will be more active as they look for food and water so you can use sticky traps more effectively. Secondly, you can use baits more effectively as they will need to feed.
