SAFEBOX® EARTH is an effective solution for the control of rats in connection with sewer breaks or at their place of nesting. SAFEBOX® EARTH is installed directly in the tunnel, hole, or break; enabling the rodenticide to be placed securely and conveniently.
The SAFEBOX® EARTH is a unique design that allows for a new and more targeted approach to dealing with rodents in these situations. The secure box is accessed via a 30cm length of 5.5cm drainage pipe, this promotes the initial interaction to be carried out underground, where the rodent feels safe. The entrance diameter has been chosen to ensure positive access for rats, but small enough to prevent risk to non-target species. twin ground anchors are included, these are screwed into the ground, ensuring the box can’t be upturned or moved, these measure 23cm in length, with an inbuilt flange washer to secure them in place.
We have included a Perspex viewing window, this has a variety of benefits. The main benefit is daylight, when the rat navigates its way up the entrance tunnel, it appears as though there is an unobstructed way out, greatly increasing interaction. Secondly, this window enables a clear view to observe rodenticide uptake upon inspection, greatly increasing efficiency when servicing.

What should I do if the hole I want to use is larger than the pipe supplied?
It’s important that the SAFEBOX® EARTH seems to be the only way out otherwise the rodents will escape around the side. To make the hole smaller simply install the SAFEBOX® EARTH in the chosen hole and then fill the hole around the pipe.
How long does it take to get rid of the rats?
There is no set time that it will take to get rid of a rat population. However, burrow baiting is one of the quickest forms of baiting when it comes to interaction time.
Can I use traps in the SAFEBOX® EARTH?
No, the SAFEBOX® EARTH isn’t compatible with any form of trap.
