The Sewer Safe is a high-quality rat flap, offering a permanent solution to stop rodents from entering the drainage system for your house or business.
Our Sewer Safe is made from high-quality stainless steel and can be installed in a matter of minutes with the applicator tool and extension poles. The precision-engineered install block uses a threaded rod that compresses the Sewer Safe, reducing the width to fit inside the pipe with ease. The install poles are lightweight, sturdy, and come in 1.5m sections. We recommend a minimum of 2 sections; covering most depths of install. Thanks to the rigid but lightweight design, we have seen clients use 5 install poles, capable of safely installing the sewer safe at a depth of 6m, that’s an impressive 20 feet. This improves efficiency, health and safety, and the overall well-being of the operator. We are proud to offer such an innovative and safe option for our customers.
The Sewer Safe’s innovative design incorporates a dual flap system. This means the second flap will only open when the first flap has been pushed by liquid or waste to release the second flaps latch. This system ensures there’s no risk of a rat forcing a flap open and entering your property. Our Triple-Hinge mechanism is protected by a waste deflector, ensuring build-up does not occur over time; this is very important as hinges are susceptible to becoming clogged, therefore leaving the flaps in an open position, allowing rodents to bypass the flaps.
Flow direction can be changed in under a minute, using a single 4mm hex head, 2 shoulder screws can be removed and the tensioning arms can be reversed.
Installation of the rat flap is easy with the applicator tool. Simply twist the handle to tighten the sewer safes walls and the sewer safe will slide into place; twist the handle the other way and the walls expand to fit tightly against the pipe wall. The applicator then uncouples from the sewer safe and the sewer safe is installed for years to come. To remove the rat flap, repeat the process in reverse.

What fixes the Sewer Safe to the pipe?
The Sewer Safe is fitted in place by the tension created from the walls of the Sewer Safe. the walls are constantly pushing out again the pipe to keep the Sewer Safe secure. Also, the installation bracket sits out of the entrance of the pipe making it impossible for the Sewer Safe to be washed away.
How deep can I install the Sewer Safe.
You can install the sewer Safe as deep as 6 meters from the drain entrance using additional install poles.
How long will a Sewer Safe last?
Each Sewer Safe is built to last and will go on for a lifetime.
What type of pipe can Sewer Safe be used in?
Sewer Safe can be used in all types of pipes including PVC, clay, and cast iron.
Do I need a different installation pole for each size of Sewer Safe?
No, Sewer Safe is fitted with the same installation mechanism no matter the size.
